Microsoft Senior Technical Specialist – Global Support (Out of Hours Support with Hybrid Working)
Position Overview:
This role is at senior tech specialist level within Microsoft technologies, and will be providing unparalleled service excellence to a base of over 400 clients and 13,000 end users across the UK.

The budgeted salary for this role is between R35,000 - R40,000 gross per calendar month plus a nightshift allowance.
Responsibilities
Working with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve variety of assigned tasks
Taking ownership and performing prompt and effective incident investigation applying sound problem-solving methods to all client tasks assigned
Operating as Tier 3 escalation for service desks and major incident team
Liaising with clients in a professional, respectful and empathetic manner
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Technical Position
Advanced troubleshooting skills (e.g., Azure; M365; Servers; databases; networking)
Advanced Microsoft AVD experience
Excellent Level of Networking skills including Firewalls, Switches, vLan, VPN (Fortinet, Cisco, juniper, Cisco Meraki)
Security platforms (MS Defender, Mimecast, MFA)
Previous experience of working in a night shift environment
Available and medically fit to work night shift
Comfortable to work with minimal supervision and with team members that are located remotely
Formal IT qualification, ideally MCSE/MCITP or multiple MCPs is advantageous but not essential!
Understanding of ITIL processes and guidelines
A "Service Obsession” attitude toward customer service
