Position Overview
The Group Credit Control Manager is responsible for managing the company's credit control functions across multiple locations and business units. This role involves overseeing the collection of outstanding credit, minimizing financial risk, and ensuring that credit policies are adhered to. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in developing and implementing credit control processes and strategies that improve cash flow and reduce arrears.

The budgeted salary for this role is R35
,000 – R50,000 per calendar month.

Responsibilities
· Credit Management: Develop and implement effective credit control policies and procedures tailored to the needs of the business.
· Risk Assessment: Conduct credit risk assessments for new and existing clients, setting and maintaining appropriate credit limits.
· Debt Collection: Oversee the collection of outstanding debts to minimize bad debt exposure.
· Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the status of outstanding debts, cash collected and the effectiveness of credit control measures.
· Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of credit controllers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
· Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing credit issues professionally and promptly.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as commercial, legal and finance, to support overall business objectives.
· System Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the credit control system to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Integration: Participate with the integration of other entities from a credit control perspective
· Ad hoc as required by senior management
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in credit control or a similar role, with significant exposure to managing a team
Advantage if exposed to larger group companies
Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Microsoft Business Central
