We are looking for a Business Central Developer to join us in Cape Town. This is a specialist, technical role where you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of client projects.

Responsibilities
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with Clients: Engage with clients to understand their unique requirements and business challenges, ensuring clear documentation of essential components such as data, workflows, and dependencies.

• Scope and Estimate Projects: Define project scope, provide accurate cost estimates, and establish realistic delivery schedules to ensure transparency and alignment with client expectations.

• Customisation Development: Demonstrate your expertise by developing and supporting both new and existing customisations tailored to meet specific client needs.

• User Training Support: Offer ad-hoc training sessions to empower users, equipping them with the knowledge they need to utilise our solutions effectively.

• Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating any potential delays in scheduled activities while maintaining strong relationships.

• Troubleshooting Expertise: Utilise your skills to debug Business Central and NAV issues, whether on-premises or in the cloud, ensuring smooth operation for our clients.

• Exceptional Customer Service: Exhibit strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner, ensuring client satisfaction at every interaction.

• Project Management: Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhering to client specifications and contributing to our reputation for excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

The right candidate for this role will have:

• Dynamics Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS).

• Source Control Knowledge: Experience with git-based source control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub).

• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of C/AL and AL programming languages.

• Integration Skills: Experience with Shopify connectors and integrations.

• SQL Knowledge: Technical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, SSRS, and indexing/keys.

• Report Design: RDLC report design using Microsoft Report Builder.

• Third-Party ISV Experience: Familiarity with third-party ISVs such as Jet Reports, MobileNAV, Tasklet Factory Mobile WMS.

Experience within a Microsoft Partner organisation would be desirable, but is not essential to apply.
