Data Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst with a strong interest in data visualization and reporting. This role supports business decision-making by collecting, cleaning, and analysing datasets, and by translating insights into clear, stakeholder-friendly dashboards and reports—primarily using Power BI.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between 25,000 and 35,000 ZAR monthly, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection, cleaning, validation, and documentation to ensure data integrity and usability.

• Build, maintain, and iterate Power BI dashboards and reports that surface key business metrics and trends.

• Support senior analysts with ad-hoc analysis, including extracting data, preparing summaries, and checking results.

• Translate findings into clear visual formats and concise written commentary for stakeholders.

• Help automate recurring reporting where possible (e.g., standardized datasets, reusable report templates).

• Collaborate with Finance and business teams to understand reporting requirements and continuously improve outputs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar.

• Basic knowledge of data analysis concepts (e.g., data cleaning, aggregation, trend analysis) and data visualization principles.

• Competence or growing expertise in Power BI (DAX and Power Query familiarity is advantageous).

• Comfortable working with Excel and structured datsets.

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a data driven environment.

• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders.
