Automation Engineer
Position Overview
As an Automation Engineer within our Enterprise Business Systems team, you will be responsible for executing design buildouts for our critical business systems, You will transform high-level designs into low level designs, and effective, detailed solutions, leveraging automation tools including Power Automate and Workato to streamline processes and configuration within Power Platform, Dynamics 365 and other third party systems. This role requires a creative problem-solver with strong Excel and experience in building complex business rules to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance of security policies through user awareness and guidance of security best practices in accordance with our ISO and other security standards.
Be an ambassador for the Enterprise Business Systems team in the respective location and championing Kaizen policies and procedures.
Consult with the business for new requirements and clearly document the requirements to be used by the architect team for solution design.
Translate high-level designs into detailed technical specifications and implement solutions across Middleware tool (Workato), Power Platform and Dynamics 365
Utilise Power Automate and Workato to create efficient workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure smooth data flow across systems. Understanding of data models and structures within API’s.
Develop and implement complex business rules to optimise workflows, improve data accuracy, and support streamlined integration processes.
Work closely with third-party vendors and consultants to execute configuration that align with our architectural standards.
Produce clear documentation for the features/systems, including design specifications, test plans, and operational guides.
Ensure all changes meet quality benchmarks for performance and reliability, with thorough testing and optimization.
Create training material on the new features or changes for end users, which may include virtual training sessions.
Proactively seek opportunities to improve technical processes, leveraging best practices to enhance efficiency and errors.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with integration platforms and automation tools, including Power Automate, Workato or any other automation toolsets, like N8N, Zapier, MuleSoft and Make.com as a few examples,
Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis, to support integration processes and reporting.
Ability to interpret high-level designs and develop detailed, low-level specifications, particularly in data mapping and workflow automation.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently identify and address complex issues.
Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration with internal teams and third-party partners.
Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
Curiosity and a desire to learn how things work and why things are done is a key skill to being successful in this role
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
1+ years of experience in technical consulting.
Minimum 2 years’ working experience with configuration and testing of system automation tools in a corporate environment
Minimum 5 years’ working experience with M365, Entra, SharePoint and MS Teams including building automation for these services
Minimum 2 years’ working experience with Power Platform Model Driven Apps
Experience building complex rules and workflows to streamline business processes.
Relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
Programming experience or at least willingness to understand code by others (SQL, Ruby, JavaScript, Python)
