We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) to join our innovative team in London. As part of our dynamic environment, you will play a vital role in building and managing our cloud estate, ensuring we leverage cutting-edge technology to support our underwriting-focused insurance and reinsurance business. Working closely with developers, data engineers, and third-party vendors, you will design resilient and reliable cloud solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
As the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
· Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment of new infrastructure aligned with overall IT strategy and integration requirements.
· Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, develop, and maintain IaC solutions for efficient cloud infrastructure delivery.
· Collaboration: Partner with development and operations teams to understand infrastructure requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs.
· Monitoring and Alerting: Develop and maintain systems to monitor infrastructure performance, security, and reliability.
· Audits and Optimization: Conduct regular audits to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
· Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, design, and implementation.
· Industry Awareness: Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies in cloud computing.
· Technical Support: Provide guidance and technical support to team members on infrastructure-related issues.
· Vendor Engagement: Collaborate closely to ensure optimal service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
· Extensive hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure, specifically in Azure for both IaaS and PaaS services, including backups and disaster recovery.
· Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) within an enterprise environment and experience with CI/CD tooling in a GitOps model.
· Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and experience interacting with REST APIs.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with technical stakeholders effectively.
· A self-starting mindset with a capacity for independent work.
· Experience with the M365 suite of services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Intune, and SharePoint Online.
