Data & Analytics Consultant
Position Overview
The Data & Analytics Consultant is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions using Microsoft technologies. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translating them into technical solutions, and leading the delivery of data platforms and analytics systems.
The individual should also be adept in at converting pre-sales opportunities into development work, performing estimates and responding to bids.
Salary & Benefits
The budgeted salary for this role is between £50,000 and £60,000, depending on experience.

Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and convert opportunities into development work.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of data analytics.
Agile approach to balancing a time between development and pre-sales activities, adaptable based on the sales pipeline.
Define and drive data strategy aligned with business goals
Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Represent the data architecture function in executive and strategic planning meetings
Qualifications & Experience
The right candidate for this role will have:
Expertise in Microsoft Fabric
Strong skills in SQL, Spark, Python (DAX optional)
Strong data‑modelling background across medallion architecture, Kimball, Star, and Snowflake schema
Ability to design and denormalize data models for self‑service analytics
Experience with Azure Data Stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, ADLS Gen2, etc.)
Knowledge of Databricks
Experience with Power BI
Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD for data solutions
Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
At least one of the following exams:
DP-600: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
DP-700: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate
Please note you need to be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) for this role. This typically requires British nationality and 5 years residency in the UK.
