Position Overview
The Portfolio Delivery Manager provides executive‑level leadership across a 100+ project customer portfolio and a cross‑functional Technology Programme within our Channel Partner ecosystem. Operating at scale across multiple partners and internal functions (Sales, Product, Operations, Customer Success), you will own the end‑to‑end delivery system—governance, insight, performance, and people—ensuring our solutions land predictably, deliver measurable value, and are tightly aligned to product strategy and commercial goals. This is a unique opportunity to design and mature a central PMO/PSO capability, standardise excellence in delivery, and embed a data‑driven, outcomes‑focused culture across the Unified Communications (UC) business.

Responsibilities
Portfolio Leadership & Governance
· Manage a customer portfolio of 100+ concurrent projects, ensuring consistent use of Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, and MoP/P3O methodologies.
· Implement governance, stage gates, and assurance at the portfolio level to ensure predictability, quality, and control over scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
· Oversee prioritisation, demand shaping, dependency management, and capacity planning to optimise results and resource use.
· Establish clear value hypotheses and measurable outcomes to drive benefits realisation and ensure strong business case quality.
Strategic Projects Programme
· Lead strategic projects and technology programmes, define roadmaps, mobilise cross-functional teams, and direct delivery for strategic outcomes.
· Chair or support steering committees, manage RAID at the programme level, and enable timely, informed decisions.
Performance, Insight & Reporting
· Introduce automated reporting and a robust KPI/OKR framework (e.g., on‑time delivery, margin, throughput, time‑to‑value, partner NPS, benefits realisation).
· Build Power BI dashboards and portfolio analytics that surface trends, risks, and opportunities and support scenario planning and investment decisions.
· Provide clear, executive‑ready reporting for internal leadership and channel partners.
Product Introduction & Scale
· Collaborate with Product to ensure new offers are delivery-ready with blueprints, runbooks, acceptance criteria, and operational handover.
· Develop clear, scalable process documentation and coordinate training for consistent, high-quality execution.
· Implement a feedback loop from delivery to product for continuous improvement.
Commercial & Financial Control
· Oversee portfolio budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance (revenue recognition, margin, burn rate), including SOW/change control.
· Drive efficient utilisation through thoughtful resource planning and sourcing strategies.
People Leadership & Capability Build
· Establish and lead the PMO/PSO capability, setting delivery standards and tools.
· Manage and mentor Project Managers and PSO Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture.
· Build a community of practice, improve delivery maturity, and coach teams in practical methods.
Governance & Compliance
· Ensure adherence to organisational policies, security requirements, and industry best practice in project and programme management.
· Provide independent assurance over high‑risk initiatives and lead executive escalations when required.
Qualifications & Experience
· Proven track record managing a portfolio of 100+ projects within a corporate, customer‑facing technology environment, ideally with channel partners.
· Demonstrable experience leading a PMO/PSO or strategic project governance function.
· Telecommunications / Unified Communications experience highly desirable.
· Comfortable engaging and negotiating with senior internal and external stakeholders.
· P3O Practitioner (or equivalent) desirable; PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, or Agile certifications advantageous.
· Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to operate at pace.
