Position Overview:
We are looking for a Business Central Developer to join our Professional Services business in Cape Town. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across projects spanning a range of industries and clients. It is a great opportunity for an experienced developer looking to join an established Professional Services team that is part of a highly respected Microsoft Partner. 

Responsibilities:
In this role, you can expect to:

• Translate client requirements and business challenges, documenting required components such as data, workflow, and dependencies
• Define a scope of work, cost estimate and delivery schedule
• Demonstrate the ability to develop and support new and existing customisations for client projects
• Provide ad-hoc user training where required
• Demonstrate the capability to liaise with clients and other interested parties regarding any delays to scheduled activity
• Debug Business Central and NAV issues both on prem and in the cloud
• Demonstrate strong communication and customer service (with a professional telephone manner)
• Demonstrate the capability to complete project work on time and in budget (to the client requirement specifications)

Qualifications & Experience:

The right candidate for this role will have:

• Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS)
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional telephone manner
• Experience with git-based source control systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub etc)
• Deep technical understanding of C/AL and AL
• Technical experience of Microsoft SQL Server including T-SQL and SSRS and indexing/keys
• Document design using Microsoft Office
• Experience with third party ISVs such as Jet Reports, MobileNAV, Tasklet Factory Mobile WMS etc

Experience within a Microsoft Partner organisation is desirable, but is not essential.

Experience with Shopify connectors and integrators would be useful, but is not necessary to apply for the role.
