Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and driven finance professional to take ownership of key financial processes, lead a talented team, and make a real impact across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare group management accounts with detailed commentary, including accruals and prepayments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review P&L reports to identify trends and opportunities.
- Lead the ledger close process and ensure strong accounting controls are in place.
- Present financial results to senior leadership and provide commercial insights.
- Oversee daily group cash flow reporting and prepare UK VAT returns.
- Manage a small, dedicated team responsible for bank reconciliations, payments, expenses, and company credit cards.
- Support year-end audit preparation and work closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director.
- Deliver commercial reporting and calculate sales commissions and bonuses.
- Champion process enhancements and contribute to finance projects alongside the Project Accountant.
Key Skills & Experience
- A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIF).
- A track record of process improvement and system development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and professional approach.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Previous team management experience (desirable).
- Solid understanding of Corporation Tax, VAT, and employment taxes.

The budgeted salary for this role is up to £60,000 depending on experience.
Hybrid working:
