Position Overview
This is an onsite support services role to provide technical support of IT projects, incidents, and requests to several large Advania UK clients and to also as required provide technical support and guidance to end users and colleagues.
With focus to support with the IT hardware replacement, packaging and keep the asset records updated.
The Field Engineering role forms part of a team supporting clients at main site locations.
The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal communication skills in addition to exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and technical documentation skills.
Generic Duties and Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of the operations team be responsible for the delivery, or part delivery of related project tasks, incidents, and functional user support as per customer requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring successful delivery, sign off and hand over to support services post project.
- Ensuring all documentation are accurately completed\updated\created including the maintaining of asset information and configurations.
- Allocating and logging time to tasks and projects in an accurate and detailed manner.
Take ownership of allocated tickets and tasks and professionally manage them through to resolution\conclusion. - Update incidents, requests, and project tasks that are allocated by the team coordinator through ticket management system as required.
- Support the dedicated onsite team, troubleshoot, maintain, and support end users with hardware replacement.
- Be prepared to travel to all client locations within a large area to cover client needs where and when required. This also includes covering for absence and annual leave within the onsite team wherever those clients may be based, this may include overnight stays.
Skills
- Cloud technologies: Microsoft Intune, and Azure.
- Productivity applications: Microsoft 365 & Office 365, Print solutions and bespoke client software.
- Workstation Hardware and software: We support all desktop operating systems as well as workstation hardware.
- Peripherals; printers, access points, etc.
- Contribute fully as an active team member and ensure personal and team objectives are achieved
- Undertake other tasks as assigned by management that may not necessarily be implementation or project centric.
- Act as an ambassador for Advania UK and the client always.
- Demonstrate good implementation skills and knowledge in laptop builds, mobile set up and hardware replacement.
- Must be willing to take ownership of all IT queries and manage, with other parties, through to completion.
- Demonstrable working experience in a relevant role.
- Flexibility to work weekends and other out of hours duties if required.
Good trouble shooting skills. - Demonstrate passion for customer service.
Must be practical and able to mount monitors, access points, etc; training will be provided where suitable. - A full clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel to remote sites over a large area.
- Regular drug and alcohol testing will be required as part of this role.
- BPSS and DBS checks will if required as part of this role; this will be sponsored by Advania UK.

The budgeted salary for this role is £40,000 plus car allowance.
