Position Overview:
As an Onsite Support Services Engineer, you will be able to provide technical support to end-users. This role has been specifically created to service one of our longstanding clients in the Southampton area.
It is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical expertise. Your remit will include incidents, problems, requests or help with particular projects, subject to client need. This role would suit someone who is comfortable working standalone in an onsite capacity, and as a subject matter expert providing a whole range of IT support.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the client’s internal IT team.
- Handling client interaction, managing their expectations, reporting client facing risks and customer feedback with great professionalism.
- Meeting your SLAs (“Service Level Agreements”) through troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting a wide range of technical challenges.
- Taking ownership of your tickets with a customer focused attitude and being constantly involved in collaboration with the rest of the team.
- Having the responsibility of ensuring successful sign-off, delivery, and handover to support services post project completion.
- Understanding the importance of problem ownership and client success and aiming for top rated client feedback.
- Ensuring all documentation is created, updated, and completed, including the maintaining of asset information and configurations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Microsoft operating systems (Win 10/11/Server)
- Office 365 administration including Exchange Online (message trace), Teams (phoneline, group setup), OneDrive (Sync issues).
- Cloud: Azure - foundational knowledge of cloud concepts, services and management.
- Active Directory - experience in administration - user creation, permissions, group membership, group policy, OUs.
- Mobile Device Management
- Virtualisation
- Local Area Networking
- LAN/WAN networking equipment, routing/switching equipment including, but not limited to, Cisco, Dell, HP switches, routers and firewalls.
- Formal IT qualification, ideally MCSE/MCITP or multiple MCPs massively advantageous.
- Hands on familiarity with PC/laptop hardware.
This role will require 5 days a week onsite in Southampton split between two sites.
