Job Purpose
To ensure accurate and efficient reporting of ESG data for Advania UK Group companies (Including, ESOS, SECR, Carbon Reduction Plan) and to Advania Group (Stakeholder reporting, CSRD) and to promote continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Reporting:
- Proactively plan and coordinate ESG reporting for Advania UK (including Carbon Reduction Plan, SECR reporting, ESOS).
- Request data and other information from all relevant contributors. Consolidate and ensure the quality of the data before submission.
- Communicate with the Advania Group ESG Controller to ensure preparedness for Group reporting and submit according to the Group timelines for half-year and full-year reporting.
- Data Quality Improvement:
- Work to continuously improve the understanding and quality of the data gathered for GHG reporting.
- Participate in initiatives from the group level, such as training for reporting platforms or actions for improving data quality.
- Explore options for third-party verification of GHG data, such as Science Based Targets, and work in tandem with the Sustainability Lead on their implementation and ongoing management.
- Tool Development and Management:
- Use technology where possible to develop enhanced data capture, management, reporting, and analysis of ESG data.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that the ESG data reporting complies with relevant standards and regulations as they evolve.
- Stay updated on changes in ESG reporting requirements and adapt the reporting processes accordingly.
Experience and Qualifications
- Analytical Skills: The role will necessitate working with large sets of spreadsheet data, requiring strong numerical aptitude.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of ESG data. The ability to meticulously review and validate data entries to maintain high-quality reporting standards is essential.
- Understanding of GHG Reporting Requirements: An understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting requirements or carbon accounting principles is necessary. Familiarity with relevant regulations such as ESOS, SECR, and the Carbon Reduction Plan will be advantageous.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments. Strong interpersonal skills will be needed to engage with stakeholders, contributors, and team members.
- Interest in Sustainability Agenda: A genuine interest in sustainability and environmental issues is important. A proactive approach towards understanding current trends, challenges, and innovations in the field of ESG will enhance the role's effectiveness.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to identify improvements in data collection methods, including collaborating with IT specialists to develop efficiencies for data capture and reporting across multiple systems.
- Project Management Skills: The ability to prioritise responsibilities and manage multiple reporting timelines is essential.

Budgeted salary range for this role is £30,000 - £45,000 and Benefits.
