Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager based in the United States to join our Sipcom team. In this role, you will support our expansion efforts across North America, assist Sales teams with tenders and contract negotiations, ensure compliance with North American tax regulations, and serve as a Finance Business Partner to non-finance colleagues.
This position is part of the Group Finance team based in the UK and will report to the Group Financial Controller, with a secondary focus on assisting with group reporting. You will also collaborate closely with the Group Director of International Compliance and the Sales teams in both the UK and the US.
Responsibilities:
- Management Accounting: Oversee the Monthly Management Accounts for the Sipcom Business Unit, which includes two legal entities in the UK and the US.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments to enhance financial strategies and identify business opportunities.
- FP&A: Lead forecasting and annual budgeting for the Sipcom business, with support from Group Finance.
- Taxes: Act as the point of contact with third-party compliance providers for Sales & Use Tax, Income Tax, and other applicable taxes, ensuring timely filing and payment.
- Billing: Work closely with the UK Billing Team to ensure accuracy in billing and tax application for North American customers.
- Compliance Activities: Manage compliance activities to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including maintaining proper registrations where nexus exists.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to ensure the organization's financial health.
- Expansion Support: Provide financial insights and support for the company's expansion in North America, assisting Sales teams with financial aspects of tenders and contract negotiations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A professional certification (CPA, CFA) or a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related subject is essential.
- Prior professional experience of managing telecommunications taxes and compliance activities.
- Experience with a Tax Engine such as SureTax or Avalara is desirable.
The budgeted salary for this role is between $110,000 and $150,000 a year.
Although this is a remote role, the successful candidate will be required to be based out of any of the following four states:
- New York
- New Jersey
- Delaware
- Florida
Our Selection Process:
