Position Overview:
We have a unique opportunity for a Data Solutions Architect to join our business. This role offers the perfect blend between working within architecture and building strong relationships with both current and potential customers. This opportunity would suit someone with a technical background who is looking to divide more of their time between technical development and pre-sales activity.  

Responsibilities:
Typical responsibilities in this position will include:

• Participate in meetings with potential and existing clients to understand their data needs and challenges.
• Develop and present tailored data solutions, demonstrating how they meet client requirements.
• Assist the sales team by providing technical expertise during pre-sales engagements.
• Create and deliver proof of concepts (PoCs) to showcase the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement data architectures and solutions using the Azure Data Stack, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
• Build and maintain data models, databases, and data integration workflows to ensure efficient and scalable data management.
• Perform data analysis and develop business intelligence reports to support decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

The right candidate for this role will be comfortable liaising with clients in a commercial setting. Ideally you will be able to showcase how you have done this within a professional services or consulting environment.

The right candidate will also have: 

• Expertise in the Azure Data Stack
• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Synapse Analytics
• Skilled in Power BI
• Knowledge of Databricks
• Competency in Azure Data Factory
• Strong data modelling skills

At least one of the following Microsoft certifications:

• DP-600: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
• DP-700: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
• DP-203: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

The budgeted salary for this role is between £80,000 to £90,000 per year. 

Hybrid working:

This hybrid role, with a remote-first emphasis, necessitates being in the office or at a client site for 4 days each month. Each team within our organisation can decide how to implement this policy. If you have any questions after applying, please reach out to our recruitment team.
